COVID-19 Update To Our Valued Customers
Dear Valued Customer,
We hope all is well with you and that you are navigating through these difficult times successfully.
We want you to know that Therapy Advantage is here for you and will remain active in servicing our agencies and patients. We will continue to do our due diligence to keep our team and patients safe by following CDC recommendations and additional safeguards noted below. All therapy staff has been educated and is actively engaged in the following:
As you know, the presence of a skilled medical professional in the home is imperative to managing patient symptoms to avoid hospitalization. Due to these recent developments, we are prepared to assist if there is an influx in home health patients should families chose to be at home versus receiving care in a facility setting. Therapy Advantage is ready and well-prepared to assist in any emergency situations you may experience. We are all in this together.
On a side note, at Therapy Advantage we value the safety of our employees and their families as well as the surrounding communities and have made the decision to move our administrative team from the corporate office to working remotely. While admin staff continue to provide superior customer service from remote work sites, callers may hear a little more activity in the background as our workers may have children at home due to this public health crisis. We apologize in advance and hope that agencies will understand the situation, as we work to do our best for our agencies and our employees.
As usual, Therapy Advantage is available for support Monday-Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. If you need something urgent after regular business hours, please feel free to contact your Director of Rehab. We are here to help!
Please stay safe, and thank you for being a part of the Therapy Advantage family.
Sincerely,
Mindy Griffin OT/L
Managing Partner of Therapy Advantage

We will continue to do our due diligence to keep our team and patients safe by following CDC recommendations and additional safeguards noted below. All therapy staff has been educated and is actively engaged in the following:
- Utilizing the new daily temperature logs required by Governor DeWine.
- Utilizing the CDC COVID-19 Questionnaire Screening before EVERY visit to screen for possible symptoms. If a patient answers "yes," our therapy team is instructed to contact the home health agency immediately to determine next steps.
- Utilizing the ODJFS COVID-19 Home Screening Flowchart to determine whether to proceed with a visit.
- Utilizing the ODJFS "Tips for Home Visiting: Preparing & Arriving for a Visit," which addresses what to bring to a visit, how to handle contact with people/surfaces, and how to manage cleaning during and between visits.
- Washing hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
- Covering a cough or sneeze with a tissue.
- Running themselves through the same COVID-19 screening questions daily that they are asking patients before every visit.
- Therapists will not be treating patients if they answer "yes" to any of the symptoms related to COVID-19, unless symptoms can be explained (i.e. allergies).
- If a therapist is experiencing any symptoms, quickly reassigning patients to another therapist to avoid lapses in care.
- Therapists will be required to provide a "return to work" note from their treating physician if they answered "yes" to any of the COVID-19 screening questions.
- Encouraging the use of available PPE if a patient shows signs and symptoms of possible COVID-19. Our therapists are trained to reduce the risk of infection while caring for patients in their home.
